Sacramento Kings

We were invited to a Sacramento Kings/ Brita event at the YMCA in downtown. The kids had a lot of fun, even though neither of them are Kings fan. Jon likes the Golden State Warriors like his dad and my nephew Anthony likes the Lakers. The kids got a chance to win some prizes from ksfm a local radio station, Jon won movie tickets to see a preview of the movie Home, but it’s on the same day my sister in law has her baby. So bummer, we’ll have to miss that. They also got to shoot hoops with Derek Williams a Kings player. And their favorite part they got to dance with Samson the Kings mascot, haha just kidding they were super embarrassed when everyone started dancing. It was a fun filled event.

Have a nice day!

Shabby Chic Babyshower

Shower games, I lost..

Sorry I know I’ve been absent from the blog and social media. I just needed a little break, we had a little health scare with our son. He’s fine, everything is ok! Life just really threw a curve ball at us that we did not see coming.
This last weekend it was my sister in law Blanca’s baby shower. I’m so excited I can’t wait to meet my niece Abigail, she should be here on March 24th. Another baby in the family to get my baby fix. There’s is nothing better than the way a baby smells, holding them when they are at peace sleeping. Then giving them back to their parents when they start crying haha. Like any other party, Blanca went all out and did an amazing job at the decorations and the food. Every time one of us has a party we say we should go into the party planning business because we pay so much attention to detail. It was nice seeing everyone and getting to eat all those delicious sweets!
Have a great weekend!

PampersFirsts Party

Thank you Pampers for sponsoring this post. All opinions are 100% my own.

Thinking back to when we first had our now 9-year-old Jonathan. I remember feeling so worried about everything. Reading all the parenting books and advice books, we were going to be responsible for this little person. Then he was born and I remember the first time I saw him, I hugged him so close and I knew everything was going to be ok. I remember all his first and documented everything. I remember back then logging on to the Pampers website to track his growth and getting tips. So it’s nice now that they have set up this #PampersFirsts Program.

About the Pampers “Firsts” Program
As the #1 choice of hospitals in North America and the first diaper worn by millions of babies, Pampers Swaddlers comforts and protects babies through their entire journey of amazing firsts. Pampers understands there is nothing more joyful or rewarding than the precious first-time moments shared by little ones and their families. In honor of this special journey, Pampers has released a compilation video entitled “Firsts” that highlights those wondrous “first” experiences together.
From the first-time parents see their little one on a sonogram to the first evening home from the hospital, the Pampers “Firsts” video showcases precious, heartfelt moments babies and parents share together. Pampers recognizes that all first moments, no matter how big or small, are moments to be cherished and celebrated. Pampers is honored to be a part of the journey of firsts for millions of families around the world every day.

What did you guys think about the video? Doesn’t it just bring you so much happiness remembering all those “firsts” When I had my first ultrasound with Juliana I cried like a big baby, for a year and a half we tried to get pregnant and nothing. Then we found out we were pregnant with her it was quite emotional for us.

This is pretty cool, you can now create your own” aspect of the video:
Create and share your own journey of Firsts at pampersfirsts.com.
Pampers has developed a micro-site that will allow you to upload images of your baby from your computer or pick from your Facebook gallery and create a:15 second video to share out with friends on Twitter or Facebook. The video will highlight the baby photos and all their first milestone moments.

This past Saturday I was lucky enough to host a #Pampersfirsts viewing party. I invited my sister in laws, one who is currently eight months pregnant. And some old friends who I grew up with, both have 3 little ones. It’s nice knowing these girls when we were kids and now seeing them married with kids of their own. There’s nothing better than good eats, great company, and mommy talk.

Did you know that Pampers now goes up to size 6? I had no idea!

InstaFaves- February

February went by too quickly!! It was our 12 year anniversary this month. 12 years wow!! I can’t believe it, it definitely does not feel that long. My boys team won the super bowl, it was one loud crazy day at our house, that day. We Finally went up to the snow, that was lots of fun. We also finally went to go try Vampire Penguin, it was delicious. I ordered the green tea with strawberries and sweetened condensed milk. Gisele still does not like to share her toys. And I finally hosted my #Pampersfirst party this past Saturday. It was fun seeing old friends, that I grew up with. And now seeing them with their little kids, it was nice.
Have a nice day!
